What's happening?

I'm stoked today.

Why?

Because it's 79 degrees in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

And guess what?

Two weeks ago, I got snowed in.

It was like a foot and a half of snow.

I had to cancel plans because there was so much snow.

As a matter of fact, I, I like threw my shovel to the side

of the driveway one day. I just kind of forgot about it. I couldn't even find my shovel when I woke up

two weeks ago. It was like the shovel's buried. I had to borrow my neighbor's shovel to shovel my

driveway because I couldn't find where it was in the yard. There was that much snow. Anyways, I'm feeling good today. I'm excited. You can probably hear it in my voice. It's festival season. We're starting festival season. I'm stoked about festival season because I get to go see my friends. My friends get to see my band play. We get to hang out. We get to go to catering and have dinner or lunch together or whatever.

Just last week, I was playing this festival in Savannah, Georgia. It was wonderful. Nate Smith and his band were there, hanging out, having a good time. Galactic was there, hanging out, having a good time. I'm ready for this festival season to kick off. Speaking of festivals, you want to know one of the bands that's a pioneer of the way the modern festival works?

You may not have known that.

I had a wonderful dinner one time with Trey, who's the lead singer and guitar player

of fish, for those that don't know.

And he was talking about how, you know, 20, 30 years ago, festivals just, they didn't look the way that they do now. And they kind of helped pioneer what modern festivals look like. But he did have some gripes about the way that modern festivals work. Too much happening. Not enough built in, just chill time. That was one of the things he said. You know what? I kind of agree. Sometimes it's nice. Like, yo, let's just have 30 minutes where there's not music happening and people can kind of regroup, catch their breath, whatever. I don't know. Do people lose interest halfway through the day? I wouldn't think so, but, you know, could be that I'm like getting older now. no no i mean i'm not getting older but i mean i am technically i'm getting older but i don, I mean, I'm not getting older. I mean, I am.
