what's going on mike how are we well we were talking about the fact that the NFL really needs to, you know, get rid of these Thursday night games. I think they've oversaturated it. Plus, the players, as a couple of the bills were talking about last night, really hate the Thursday night games. And they're hard on the road teams. That's all there is to it. It's not an easy haul for the road teams. for the road teams. It's a very tough, very, it's always been a tough turnaround.

It always was on Thanksgiving, but it's a very tough turnaround for the road teams. It's a tough argument to make, though, because week one, we saw the chiefs go into New England on the road. Week two, we saw the Bengals get upset by the Texans on the road. And week three, we saw the Rams win in San Francisco. So the players are saying it's so hard for the road.

It is. And you get a lot of injuries, too. And also the ratings is the biggest reason. There's an oversaturation in prime time. I mean, I would do away if I was the league, and this isn't for you, but this is what we're talking about. I would do away with two out of three nights on prime time and go back to having one special night because I think the NFL has

finally hit an oversaturation period. I think that's something. Part of it is three nights. I think it's too much. I just think it's too much and I think it's too much to ask anybody to do it. And I think the easy thing, if you want to do, if you're injured about injuries, the easiest thing is take out the Thursday games. That's all. See, I like it, and I know I might be biased because I'm in the business of talking about it all day long, but I like it. And I think if it's on, people are watching, and it's still one of the highest rated programs of the week. I know Mark Cuban came out a couple years ago and said the NFL is going to reach a tipping point where it is oversaturated. And I think it is... I don't see it yet. I think we all... I mean, people found that game last night. It wasn't on CBS.

It wasn't on CBS. It was on cable. Right. The ratings are good. Well, the ratings are down 15% in two years. That's a lot. That's not a couple of points. 15%. You're comparing basic cable CBS to an NFL network. I'm not going, no, no, no, I'm comparing overall ratings that down 15%.

Yeah, well.

And the whole league, I'm not talking about it.

You know, there's a million different factors. There is a lot of factors, but I think they've reached the tipping. And I watch more NFL as much as anybody because you can't watch more. And I just think three prime times are too many. And I think the problem is if you're going to protect your

Sunday, which is still your bread and butter, you're going to protect your Sunday schedule,

you can't give them a great game on each night on Thursday and Sunday and Monday. It can't be done.

I mean, you've got to protect your big packages. So would that be in the case, it's just a very

difficult, very difficult thing to do.

And I think it's something they got to look to in the future, but, you know, they'll have to deal with that themselves. But I think they have, I think they have finally reached the tipping point with their oversaturation. I really think it's hurting them. I think they do. And I go back to when Monday night was big. I mean, Monday night was enormous.

I mean, it was special to wait for Monday night.
