Cash, this was kind of a long, I guess you had no rush, but it was kind of a prolonged in terms of day search. But how many serious candidates did you feel you had for the job?

When you got rid of Joe, which we'll get to in the minute, but how many guys would you say with serious candidates?

Well, we had a preliminary long list. I mean, I engaged my entire baseball operations department

and said, all right, I need you to utilize all your resources and your personal opinions,

and let's put together a preck list or a potential list, I guess not a pref list,

but a potential list, and then we'll vet that list after it's assembled. And so on my own,

I certainly reached out to people throughout the game, general managers, especially that I

respect that are, I think, in alignment with the same type of philosophies of team building

that I have, you know, that who would you

recommend, who are the, who are the people that, the unexpected, who are the people I definitely

should interview? And, you know, Aaron Boone came up quite often in that process for me.

And then, you know, so I brought that name to the table from, you know, suggestions. He
