Good evening, everybody, and welcome to the Mike Francesa podcast.

After the first Sunday of football, they still have a primetime game to play tonight.

We'll worry about that and the Monday night

game later. But obviously, for the first time in many, many moons, the giant fans will

not go to bed very unhappy on opening night, which they have so many times, thinking about

what a miserable season it's going to be.

Now this evening they will cheerfully watch the Cowboys play the Bucks

and they will think about positive things for a change as the Giants

with a wild second half and a lot to get to, get some bounces their way, make some big plays

in the second half, and then a 47-yard field goal be a little wide, and we've heard that

before.

But it happens on opening day, and the Giants get a win and are one and oh for the first time it seems like in a million years.

And like I said, enough positives here to forget the negatives, to build on, to think about, and be very, very positive in all smiles after the Giants hold off Tennessee.

Now, listen, the Giants were bad in the first half.

They made a couple of plays before the half that made their numbers look cosmetic.
