Fast forward to September of this year, and my brain will officially break seeing Mike Evans in a San Francisco 49ers uniform.

That's right.

The veteran wide receiver who spent over a decade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to a three-year deal worth reportedly up to $60.4 million with the San Francisco 49ers.

Wow.

Very, very interesting.

Again, I say this with all of these podcasts.

The devil's in the details.

We'll see what actually is there up to is very telling.

But he did hit that 20 average annual that we expected him to come in at.

Apparently, according to Adam Schaefter, the decision to leave, I'll read the tweet directly here,

to leave Tampa was not about money. The bucks were very aggressive in their pursuit and presented

what was said to be a very strong offer, but it came down to a

desire for a new challenge as Evans enters the last years of his career. A new challenge

indeed for Mike Evans, where he'll step into a depth chart where he's going to be the clear cut

number one receiver, even at his advanced age. And I don't think this is necessarily like A.J. Green, going to be the clear cut number one receiver even at his advanced age. And I don't think this

is necessarily like AJ Green going to Arizona for the end of his career. You kind of forget about

those years. Or even Cooper Cup in Seattle. Like, yes, we know he's there. He was a part of the Super Bowl

run, but he really didn't do a whole heck of a lot this season. Mike Evans can still get it done.

And yes, he did miss some games this season, but I want to be really clear.

Somebody was talking to me about Evans being injury prone.

I don't think we've actually looked at Mike Evans' career because he's actually been one of the

most extremely durable
