Well, hey there, people's, it's Nate, host of the Vinyl Guide podcast, and I'm wrapping up my vacation now,

getting toward the end. However, somewhere in the world I'm digging through a record crate or

likely working on the new set of episodes of the Vinyl Guide podcast. So, rather than just letting

you guys fend for yourselves with silence this week, I'm uploading this episode of the vinyl artist series,

a segment where we profile an independent artist who's committed themselves to the vinyl

record format. Now, this isn't a cheap or easy thing, by the way. Pressing records cost a

considerable amount of money. So I'm using this time to draw attention to some of these great artists

and help expose them to vinyl record lovers worldwide. And this week we're profiling a real

special artist, Mike Dillon, whose main instrument is the vibraphone. When's the last time you heard

a featured vibraphonist, much less one that has punk influences and seemingly no creative

boundaries. Mike is a percussionist who's played alongside many artists, including Les Claypool,

Primus, Annie DeFranco, Marco Benavento, and Faito Moore and Mr. Bungles Trace Bruins.

To stand alongside people like that, you need to have chops and something to say.

And Mike Dillon clearly has both.
