Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. Here we go. Here we go. The Euro's

only a couple of weeks away and already the government is getting spooked not just about the

prospect of giving us back our freedoms or that there might be some football fans coming to

watch things. We've already had Sadiq Khan telling the Scots to stay away from London for the

Scotland England game. Good luck with that Mr Khan but because someone has told them there might be a new COVID variant from Nepal, which happens to be quite near India.

I wonder how that could have possibly happened. Meanwhile, of course, the World Health Organization, which is of course based in Nepal, WHO Nepal, says this.

WHO is not aware of any new variant of SARS COVID-2 being detected in Nepal.

Get this. This is where it starts to get ridiculous, right? It's like a comedy turn.

The three confirmed variants in circulation are alpha B-117, Delta B-16172, and Kappa, B-16171.

The predominant currently in circulation in Nepal is Delta.

So apparently, the Indian variant is in Nepal.

It's not the Nepalese variant, it's the Indian variant.

I mean, you know, confused?

Why would you be?

Meanwhile, we await more news to know which countries might be moving around

on the traffic light system of green, amber and red.

Unfortunately, all the intelligence on it suggests that they won't be actually adding anyone to

the green list. They'll be taking people off it. When will the politicians actually get it?

And when will we be able to go anywhere? First up this morning, though, it's Brendan Chilton,
