episode of The Damage Report because that is my literal contractual obligation.

That's the obligation. My pleasure, my privilege is to do the show with Jason Carter,

who returns right now. How's it going Jason?

It's going great, wow, privilege. On this first day of October, I feel so privileged to be back

here with you as well, John. Good to see you back in the studio. How does it feel to be back at

the old stomping ground? It's been like five years. I like it. I like it. It was a rough half decade.

I like it feels good to not be just sitting in this one chair at home for six months straight.

But it is sort of bittersweet that nobody else is here. It feels like I survived the apocalypse,

and now I'm just like effectively a roach scavenging through what's left. That feels a little bit

weird. You look like you're in some sort of utopia right now actually.

Yes, that is the magic of Skype. I'm just going to, I'm here Miami and it's normally on,

and the first day of October where I'm from from Albuquerque, New Mexico, it's cold, it's brisk,

it's chilly, it's sweater weather. No, definitely not happening here in the 305. It's 85 degrees

outside. What's going on? But so I give the utopia to everyone across the country that's

dealing with whether that's not so favorable.

Yeah, the weather looks nice. I don't want the heat though. It's been a little bit too hot,

and much of our state is actually on fire right now. So I'm going to avoid any of that.

By the way, I'm looking at the YouTube chat right now, and there's a lot of love for Jason

returning. Before the show, we were talking about superhero movies and sort of one version of

the Golden Age of Super movies. My instinct is to just make that the hour, like the last time

Jason was on. But I guess we do have news to talk about quite a bit actually because we're going
