Hello Explorer, welcome along to a brand new question stuffed episode of the Fun Kids Science

0:11.6

Midweekly. My name is Dan. This is the smartest podcast in the universe. I've won the award,

0:17.1

best podcast in the universe three times. Thank you very much for asking. And well, in this

0:22.0

episode, every week, it's all about your questions, the stuff that you want to know. If you've got

0:27.3

anything sciencey, just lingering in the corners of your mind, flicking at yourselves. Maybe you've

0:34.9

heard something at school and you're thinking, cat, that can't be true.

0:38.0

No way, is that possible? Well, let me do the digging for you. Let me find out. All that you

0:45.3

need to do is to send your question in as a voice note on the free Fun Kids app and at FunKidsLive.com.

0:51.4

You can star in the podcast and I'll solve your question for you. First one this

0:56.0

1:25.8

We've got ribs to protect your lungs. We've got

1:27.7

arm bones, leg bones, a humerus, a radius, an ulna, a fema, a tibia, a fibula in your legs.

1:33.2

The differences, though, well, cats have a longer skull with some different bones in there,

1:40.2

which are adapted for more carnivorous teeth, really.

1:46.1

Cats also have a different sort of clavicle.

1:48.7

That's your collarbone, the ones in between your shoulders.

1:52.4

Ours is quite fixed because we're tall, we're wide, broad-chested, so that needs to be

1:58.3

strong and in place to set your shoulders where they always are.

2:02.6

But a cat's clavicle is almost floating, which is really important. It's kind of free form.
