For years I used pine moldings, finger joint and pine moldings and I always had issues. I always opt for their finger joint at popular compared to a pine molding is very dense. It's very stable. It paints well. It has a great coat of primer on it and they just look really, really good.

It's another episode of the midweek modern craftsman. Thank you as always for joining along here. If you're watching this on YouTube I look very orange today and I'm not sure why because my lighting has not changed.

0:39.0

My room is all blacked out so there's no outside light coming into this space. And I could change the color tone a little bit but I don't know I just seem orange today.

0:52.0

So maybe it's my computer. Maybe it's not the lighting at all but it appears as if I was on vacation and got a nice tan although I did not. So follow up on last week which I believe was the podcast where I was saying I was having a bit of a spell of anxiety.

1:13.0

A week later I am feeling good. Nothing really to report about whatever I was feeling I work my way out of it where my body naturally worked its way out of it within a few days job is moving along as good as can be I got floor protection down yesterday.

1:33.0

Floors are all wrapped up. I'm going to load the cabinets into the job on Wednesday start cabinet layout and then installing cabinets and mill work.

1:41.0

I know a bunch of you reached out via DM and then reached out via email and told me your story how you've experienced something similar how you cope with that how you manage it so to everyone who reached out I appreciate it.

1:57.0

I am sorry to hear that you oftentimes feel the same way or similar to how I feel and experience what I feel but it is comforting to feel that you're not alone and you're not insane you're not crazy.

2:08.0

So that podcast although it was spur of the moment it did you can tell reach down and you know touch a lot of people pretty deeply which it does me and it's something that I've experienced and battled with in hindsight for a very long time in my life.

2:29.0

So if any of you are out there don't feel like you're alone in that it's in today's day and age I would say it's more common than not.

2:37.0

So if I get some more people reaching out to me that want to share their story maybe I'll do a follow-up podcast on that with some suggestions from people that helped I can't take this orange right now it is so orange I might have to change the color tone.

2:53.0

I might do a follow-up podcast with some suggestions that people help said that helped them but I did want to hop on here first thing and tell you guys that I am feeling better.

3:06.0

It was a quick little stint that I was having trouble coping with and moving past but after a few days and getting out and getting back to work and getting to the grind and getting more into my routine and processes.

3:17.0

I'm feeling better so thanks to everyone who reached out for checking in. I could tell it wasn't anything that was major it was just have it a couple of those days where I couldn't get myself out of a funk and at least at this point in my life I do understand where that's coming from and what it is so I can manage it the best that I can.

3:36.0

What else let's see I have an announcement mid podcast will go over that exciting news what else is going on this weekend we had some friends over kids were all out riding dirt bikes teaching some some young girls to hop on dirt bikes.

3:57.0

I have another bout with chiggers if you guys are not probably just South Jersey and more so sandy areas pine barrens areas I had never experienced this as a kid growing up moving out here it it it becomes more prevalent especially end of summer early fall there these little tiny red bugs that you basically cannot see and I had this happen last year.

4:27.0

When I went for a run through the woods and ended up getting eaten alive but people used to think that they embedded themselves into your skin and you put clear nail polish over them and that would suffocate them and kill them.

4:39.0

They do not actually embed themselves into your skin they bite and then whatever sort of saliva or chemical is in their saliva essentially in the wild they latch on to an animal or hop onto an animal.

4:56.0

Inject this this chemical into them which essentially just eats away at the skin and then they feed off of that skin that's essentially turning to liquid so that's what they do on humans you get them off quicker than an animal can because you shower and you wash and maybe you do see them.

5:16.0

But the damage is done at that point they've injected this chemical into you that for weeks on end afterwards just slowly eats away at your skin and itches unbelievably bad it's torture to anyone who knows what chiggers are if you do not look them up and then steer clear if you're out in the woods make sure that you

5:41.0

wear long pants long socks a lot of times the pain of the butt is that they find their way into areas they like they like ankle bands of socks they like waist bands of pants I'm not sure why they're not ticks they they're worse than ticks in my opinion but it is it is terrible you just want to cut your legs or wherever these bites are off and they just don't go away for a long time.
