sometimes I just be pondering. You know what I mean? White boy pondering. And something I ponder every once in a while is

why aren't, tell me if this is dumb or not. Why aren't people paid for their commutes? Right. Yeah, yeah. I know.

Like people, people have to work like out of town. They got to work like an hour away to commute because we have

horribly designed cities. People be living in the suburbs

we have to work in the city driving an hour to work every day that's awful and i say this because

we we have things like the portal to portal act here in the united states where if you are if you

are at work and you are required to drive somewhere else as like a function of work they your work

has to compensate you for that they have to

pay you for that because it's recognized that that is only something you would be doing as a work

function you would not be doing that any way else but isn't driving to work something that you would be

only doing as a function of work and isn't you driving to work necessary for the work to be

conducted? Yeah. So isn't that like borderline labor? I mean, you would think so. But I think the

argument that they'd probably offer in response is like, well, we're not telling you where to live.

You're the one that's living, you know, 30 minutes away and you have to commute into work,

you know, drive a super long way and pay this much for gas every week. That's your fault. But it's like, yeah, you wouldn't be making that drive otherwise, though? But then you'd hire more local. And wouldn't that just be better for everyone anyway? Yeah. Instead, wouldn't that curb a little bit of gentrification? Yeah, but that's not what they want. They absolutely want the money going out of the city. Yeah, exactly. True.

Because then I don't know. I don't know. Let me know if that's, I just, it's something I ponder every once in a while because drives are awful. Driving is kind of awful to work, to work at least. And a lot of people, a lot of people be listening to us on their commute to work. Real. And imagine, imagine if you could listen to head

in the office while getting paid for it. Wait, hold up. Scratch that thought. Scratch that thought,

because I don't want to eliminate commutes now because then it's disincentivizing people to listen to us.

Maybe, okay, we should make commutes longer and make people have to pay for their commute to their work

as well as gas. They should have to pay their work for the opportunity to work.

Oh, actually, instead, let's have businesses pay head in the office to produce episodes

that people can listen to while they're driving.
