Let's talk with Heather Dubrow starts now. Hi, everybody. My voice sounds very sexy today.

0:09.7

I don't know. I don't think I'm sick. I think I'm my body's breaking down a little bit. I think

0:16.5

I wonder why. I mean, the last month has just been insane. And I really, I felt a little shitty

0:22.4

the last few days. I slept so much, which isn't like me, but I think my body just went,

0:26.6

okay, dear, that's enough. So I had so much work to do and I really didn't do anything. And I

0:31.1

chilled because breaking news on Friday, I submitted my plans for the project to the city.

0:40.3

And if you haven't been following along with the bouncing ball, I will tell you that there is a

0:44.2

wildlife ordinance here in Los Angeles. That's about to go into effect. And it's been on the

0:48.9

docket for like the last few years. By the way, I'm all for the wildlife ordinance. Let me just

0:53.3

be clear on this. It's a 40 page document. And it says many things. One of the things that's

0:58.7

most important is they don't want people building. But let's just say you have this property.

1:03.9

They don't want you building this huge house and having a tiny like three inches of grass

1:10.3

or hardscape going around it because the truth is here where we live, you don't get a lot of land

1:15.4

typically because it's expensive to live in Los Angeles and many of the areas. So you have a small

1:22.4

piece of land. And I think a lot of people want to maximize their square footage to live in and

1:28.0

also for resale. But you know, if you do that, there's nowhere for wildlife to roam. So they're

1:34.8

trying to prevent the city's trying to prevent that, which I am all for. For us, this property we

1:40.2

bought is very large. And so I mean, there's no way that would be able to happen. But there's a lot

1:47.6

of things in this document that you have to be very careful of. And again, I think the project that

1:54.1

we're doing is totally fine as far as the wildlife ordinance goes. The problem is once it goes into

2:00.2

a fact, there's going to be my understanding is there's like another committee to go through

2:05.2

and it's going to take a lot longer. So a project that I think is going to take two to three years
