Hello everyone and welcome to History of the Great War episode 56. This week is our second episode on the action in the Middle East during 1915.

Last episode was all buildup but in the Middle East during 1915.

Last episode was all buildup, but this week we will be spending most of our time discussing

two attacks in different parts of the theater.

The first attack will be by the Ottomans who launched an attack against the Suez Canal, which would require them to cross the Sinai Desert.

We will then turn our eyes to the theater that we will spend the rest of this episode and all of the next episode discussing. the I mentioned last week that the British government had declared Egypt a protectorate after the Ottoman entry into the war.

This was not done instantly on November 5th, though.
