Summary

Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect polls showing voters still trust Republicans more on the economy, shudder at Border Czar Tom Homan's concern over major terrorist attacks in the U.S. due to Biden's open borders, and size up the Democrats already dipping their toes into the water for 2028.

First, they highlight CNN’s Harry Enten reporting that Americans increasingly see Republicans as the party of the middle class and more trustworthy on economic issues. Enten appears frustrated by the trend, but Jim and Greg explain that the shift is no surprise—Democrats keep ignoring inflation, cost-of-living spikes, and pushing radical economic policies voters don’t want.

Next, they react to dire warnings from Border Czar Tom Homan, who says the Biden administration's border failures have allowed two million “gotaways” into the country—migrants who deliberately avoided processing at the border. Homan warns it’s only a matter of time before some of these individuals commit a major terrorist attack inside the U.S.

Finally, they joke about the preemptive presidential campaigns begun by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore. In recent appearances in South Carolina, Walz called Trump a "wannabe dictator" and urged supporters to bully Trump. Meanwhile, Gov. Moore inists he's not running for president in 2028 but keeps doing events like this. His record as governor is also not that great. And they also discuss the indecision of Kamala Harris over running for governor of California next year.

So glad you're with us for the Tuesday edition of the three martini lunch.

A lot to talk about again today.

0:19.2

We'll talk about how Democrats are already jockeying for

0:21.8

28. We're not even halfway through 2025 yet, but they're desperate and they're ambitious.

0:28.0

And so we'll be talking about some of those candidates that are already making some news.

0:31.3

We'll also be taking a look at a dire warning from Bordersar Tom Homan about the impact,

0:36.9

perhaps sometime soon, of 2 million people

0:40.0

among all the illegals Biden led in that came in as gotaways and the fact that we have no

0:44.9

idea who they are or where they are. And that's not good. So we're going to start, though,

0:49.5

with our good news. And that comes to us from polling from a number of sources, but it was

0:55.3

analyzed and broken down by Harry Enton over there at CNN. And the polling news is good. And so is

1:02.6

Enton's reaction because he's clearly not very happy about this, Jim. So first of all, he's

1:07.7

absolutely stunned by the fact that Republicans still lead on the question of which

1:13.8

party voters trust more on the economy. You would think after all of the waves Cape Baldwin,

1:19.7

after the last few months, the first five months of the Donald Trump presidency, right, the first four

1:24.1

months of the Donald Trump presidency, that you expect that Democrats have this massive lead on the economy. It ain't so. It ain't so. The party that is closest to

1:32.1

your economic views, in November of 2023, it was the Republicans by 11 points. Now it's still

1:37.1

within that range, still within that margin of earth, plus eight point advantage for the Republican

1:41.7

Party. How is that possible, Democrats? How is that possible
