It was something that I agonised about, but I, it's quite a ginger beard that I have,

and I'm very proud of that. I've got no issue with it necessarily, but when there's bright

lights on a ginger beard, it really enhances it. It like orangifies it by about a hundred times.

All I'm hearing is good things there.

Enhancing ginger, tick, tick.

What I didn't want is for it to take away from the main thrust of the show,

which was celebrating the young talent in the EFL.

Fair enough.

And so I think we achieved that. But I mean, I basically grew it because we haven't been on TV this season.

And I felt like that was a nice thing to do

while we weren't on TV. So given that we then were, I thought it was a sort of symbolic

gesture to get rid. So your version of I'm going to tweak this every day until X is sacked

is I'm going to keep growing my beard every day until I'm back on TV and it came to an end, fair enough.
