All right. Before we get to our prophecy update I want to first take just a moment to

honor all of the moms on this Mother's Day as we do every year. So we want to

wish you moms a very blessed and happy Mother's Day and we hope that all the husbands and children will make today a special day for you

and do the dishes for you and vacuum for you.

I hope nobody bought their wife a vacuum cleaner for Mother's Day. Have you seen those videos? Yeah, not good.

I like what one wrote about moms. I think it's very apropos. He says mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

Charles Spurgeon of his own mother said,

I cannot tell you how much I owe to the solemn word of my good mother.

It's interesting in Isaiah, God likens himself and his comfort to that of a mother.

It says in 66 verse 13, as one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. I also find it interesting that in

Proverbs, the mother's teaching is likened to a gold necklace. Or for you young people,

probably better known as bling, bling, Yeah. Proverbs 1, verse 8, 9, say 8,

says, my son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not reject the teaching of your

mother for verse 9, they are a garland of grace on your head and chains and ornaments of gold

around your neck.

On Mother's Day though, every year I'm reminded of those who ache to be moms but are unable to have children and for them

Mother's Day can be a particularly painful day. My wife and I have tasted from

this cup and after 10 years of being unable to have children I can testify that

God is good no matter how bad or painful it may seem.

I also think of moms who have experienced the death of a child, and I can also testify

having lost a daughter ourselves that God will get you through this unspeakable pain and I'm sure

that every mother's day is a painful reminder. I know for us every year we keep
