So yesterday, I usually do the prophecy updates on Saturday.

I had just completed the preparation of today's prophecy update when all of a sudden all of my TV screens lit up with the breaking news that

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Scalia had died. This is huge and the

implications are huge. It was reported that he died in his sleep of natural causes while

on a hunting trip at a West Texas ranch. Very interesting, very untimely death, and as you

might imagine, this deals a devastating blow to conservatism in America. I don't know how well

you're acquainted with this particular justice, but this was a man who stood on the Word of God.

I have to confess that I was a little taken back when shortly after the news of his death, the president of the United States had a press conference and made it very clear in no uncertain terms that he would nominate a replacement.

That to me represents, and this is an understatement, a worst case scenario.

I think it's going to be a vicious political battle in this an election year as

if it's not already vicious enough. I think this is something that we really need to commit

to prayer. You might remember that he was the one that had the scathing rebuke in his dissenting

opinion on the Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage. I want to share just a couple

of quotes. I actually have a PDF file of the dissents and his dissent is just, I mean, this was a very brilliant

man and he was really a purist in the sense of constitutional law. In his dissent, he said, quote, today's decree says that my ruler and the ruler of

320 million Americans coast to coast is the majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme

Court.

Most notable were his closing comments where he said this.

Quote, hubris is sometimes defined as o'erweening pride, And pride, we know, goeth before a fall, referring to the

Proverbs. The judiciary is the least dangerous of the federal branches because it has

neither force nor will, but judgment and must ultimately depend upon

the aid of the executive arm and the states even for the efficacy of its judgments.
