Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update for Thursday, October 9th.

Happy Thursday, folks. Well, the government may be shut down because of Hakeem Jeffries and because of

Chuck Schumer and because of their games they're playing with the American people.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune announcing this morning that he will not help the Democrats

bail themselves out of this mess, shooting down speculation that Republicans

would deploy the so-called nuclear option to break the funding stalemate.

The idea has gained traction on social media, particularly among Democrats, who already support

getting rid of the 60-vote threshold needed for legislation.

The nuclear option found a new footing when a sliver of GOP lawmakers,

including Marjorie Taylor Green and Senator Bernie Moreno, suggested that it should be an option on the

table. Thune, when asked about it, says he has no plans to get rid of it and says he had no pressure

from the White House. Now, while the Marxist Democrats are, you know, taking their time off and

relaxing and cutting paychecks from the American people, President Trump and his administration

are full force work ahead. This morning, President Trump hosted a cabinet meeting where he delivered

some remarks to the American people, and he had some wise words to say for the radical left

lunatics that are holding this government hostage. Take a listen.

So we're here this morning for a cabinet meeting as by administration continues to deliver

for the American people, despite the radical left lunatics that shut down our government.

You have Democrats that they've lost their way.

They have no leadership. We don't even know who to deal with over there. At least they know who to

deal with. We have no idea who we're dealing with over there. It's like they have no idea what

they're doing. Republicans have voted repeatedly to pass a clean, nonpartisan bill to reopen government
