This is the great America mid-day update for October 14th.

Israeli troops and tanks have reportedly begun ground assaults in Northern Gaza.

The Israel Defense Force bombing Hamas targets throughout the night.

Hezbollah in southern Lebanon has been warned not to intervene in any way.

The United States has its most powerful aircraft carrier and guided missile strike force now,

positioned in the Eastern Mediterranean to fully support Israel should there be any intervention

by Hezbollah or any other radical Islamist groups in the region.

The two most recent US polls show overwhelming support for Israel

in what is now a war with Hamas, supporting the Israeli invasion of Gaza and the elimination of

Hamas by two to one and three to one margins. The Biden White House criticized for releasing frozen

Iranian assets in the first place as much as $16 billion worth and now maintaining the money

remains in a cutter bank. The truth is far from certain.

The White House under severe criticism as well for drawing down the US strategic petroleum reserves

as war has broken out in the Middle East. Those reserves are at historic lows, a 17-day supply.

Reuters and Gateway Pundit reporting Biden sold those hundreds of millions of barrels of oil

to China, to India and Europe for no clear national security reason at all.

Our reserves are now only half what they've been over the past decade.

And Congress returns Tuesday to take what is likely their concluding vote on a new speaker.

Former Speaker McCarthy and other prominent Republican congressmen have thrown their support

to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, who looks like the new speaker of the House.

It will be a close vote by any measure.
