We begin with an interesting and distressing article in Bright Bart

this morning, which describes how Speaker Mike Johnson

is less a new speaker than an experienced collaborator with the left and the establishment, a useful tool for the old speaker and his masters, among them Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell, and the entire donor class it seems.

It is so bad, reports Bright Bart, Johnson intends a one-year continuing resolution to keep the government operating, an omnibus bill by any

other name, and no reforms of any kind. Johnson also contemplating renewal of Section 702 of FISA, which means there will be spying

unlimited, there will be no effective oversight of the intelligence agencies, and Congress will be compromised in every way

imaginable by the deep state. This is a national emergency with only Congressman Jim

Jordan standing up to say that he will not support any 702 reauthorization,

no reform, no sliding definitions of temporary, no more running over our citizens and their constitutional rights.

These are dire times, folks.

Who is this new speaker, Mike Johnson?

It may be called a ceasefire, but Hamas terrorism certainly hasn't slowed.
