Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update for Wednesday, November 13th.

Well, we have a choice for Attorney General of the United States. President Trump on Wednesday

announcing his nomination of GOP representative Matt Gates for the job of Attorney General.

President Trump tweeting out on Truth Social, it's my great honor to announce that Congressman

Matt Gates of Florida is hereby nominated to be the Attorney General of the United States.

Matt is a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney trained at William and Mary College of Law,

who has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on achieving desperately needed reform

at the Department of Justice.

Few issues in America are more important than ending the partisan weaponization of our justice system.

Matt will end the weaponized government, protect our borders, dismantle criminal organizations,

and restore Americans' badly shattered faith and confidence in the Justice Department.

On the House Judiciary Committee, which performs oversight on the DOJ,

Matt paid a key role in defeating the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax,

and exposing alarming and systemic government corruption and weaponization.

He's a champion for the Constitution and rule of law.

President Trump, I think, making perhaps his best pick yet, maybe up there with Tom

Holman, as borders are.

President Trump made this mistake the first term in office by not appointing someone

who's a Trump loyalist who's going to do a good job and stay true to the MAGA values.

So I think Matt Gates is a terrific, terrific, terrific pick.

Over on the Senate side, Rhino John Thune has been elected Senate Majority Leader and a blow to MAGA

conservatives. Of course, Thune, a Mitch McConnell lackey, a Trump hater, and a warmonger
