Hello everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great American Show Midday Update for Thursday,

March 5th. Happy Thursday, folks. The first dismissal from the Trump administration,

the Trump cabinet, has arrived. DHS Secretary Christine Ome is out as DHS chief. Senator Mark

Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma is in. President Trump announcing Thursday afternoon on Truth Social

that he had dismissed Christy Noem from her position. President

Trump saying, quote, the current Secretary Kristy Noem, who has served us well, said numerous and

spectacular results, especially on the border, will be moving to special envoy for the Shields

of America, our new security initiative in the Western Hemisphere. We'll be announcing it

Saturday in Dorel, Florida.

Christine Homme praised President Trump and said she's looking forward to her new position as special envoy for the Shields of America.

She says, thank you to POTUS, and appointing me to special envoy.

Secretary Rubio and Secretary of War Hegset are incredible leaders,

and she looks forward to working closely with them to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our

children and grandchildren. So, it goes on. Senator Mark Wayne Mullen was asked about it just

moments ago and had this to say, take a listen. We're going to try to earn everybody's votes.

I want people to understand. I'm not, when I go into this position, yes, I'm a Republican. Yes, I'm conservative. But Department of Homeland Security is to keep everybody. Regardless if you support me, if you don't support me, regardless of what your thoughts are, I'm here to enforce the policies that Congress passed. And right now I'm part of it, once I make that transition my focus is to keep the

homeland secure that's going to be my focus and and we're super excited about this opportunity
