| 0:00.0 | Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update for Wednesday, June 3rd. Happy Wednesday, folks. I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and the weather by you is absolutely beautiful. An interesting light last night in California as the voters there went to the polls to figure out who their next gubernatorial candidates are going to be, or if you're in |
| 0:21.7 | L.A., who's your next mayor going to be? Well, as it sits right now, less than 60% of the vote, |
| 0:27.3 | imagine that, folks. California taking a little bit extra time to count their votes with less than 60% |
| 0:32.5 | of the vote being counted. Steve Hilton, the GOP, hopeful, sitting about 28% of the vote. |
| 0:39.6 | His Marxist Dem rival, Xavier Bacera, who was a Biden-admined Marxist Dem, I guess we'll call him, |
| 0:46.9 | sitting at about 25% of the vote. |
| 0:48.7 | And billionaire loser, Tom Steyer, at under 20% of the vote. |
| 0:53.1 | Man, we spend a lot of his own money on that election. |
| 0:56.2 | Kind of pathetic, if you ask me. Now, looking over at the L.A. mayoral race, Karen Bass is the |
| 1:02.2 | incumbent Marxist. Over there, it's about 65% of the vote counted so far. Guaranteed to head |
| 1:09.1 | into the November election, garnering about 35% of the vote as it sits |
| 1:13.5 | right now. But Spencer Pratt, who made a last minute run like I don't think anyone expected, sitting |
| 1:19.2 | right now at about 30% of the vote. They're only separated by about 20,000 votes, as I said, |
| 1:24.1 | with about 60, just over 60% of the vote counted so far. |
| 1:28.8 | A lot of ways to go, but it's looking like Spencer Pratt's going to head off in November |
| 1:33.6 | and be on that ballot where the people of California will be able to make a decision. |
| 1:38.2 | Do they want change in L.A. or do they want the same consistent corruption, which we've seen |
| 1:43.8 | over the course of, I guess we could say, my lifetime and probably your lifetimes. |
| 1:48.7 | The U.S. Supreme Court today allowing Alabama to use its 2023 congressional map that favors Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections. |
| 1:57.1 | Last week, Alabama asked the Supreme Court to intervene after a lower court blocked its new congressional map. |
| 2:02.1 | Alabama's request to toss out its racist gerrymandered congressional map |
| 2:05.8 | comes after the Supreme Court last month declared Louisiana's newly drawn congressional map |
