Hello everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America show Midday Update for Monday,

December 29th. Happy Monday, folks. I hope you all had a great Christmas and you're ready to

have a great New Year's. A lot of news happening over the weekend, folks. If you guys haven't been

paying attention, it's time to get back to work and pay attention to what's going on.

Agents with the Department of Homeland Security are on the ground going door to door

at suspected Somali fraud sites all throughout Minneapolis following a report from a citizen

journalist named Nick Shirley put out a viral video over 100 million views on Twitter alone

revealing the rampant fraud in the Somali community that we've been hearing about

inside of Minneapolis. Now, tonight on The Great America Show at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, we're going to be

live with Mike Lindell who's running for governor of Minnesota to get his take on what he thinks

of it all and what's going to happen there. FBI director Cash Patel has taken spearheaded this investigation, says that their way ahead of it,

putting out this statement, quote,

the FBI is aware of recent social media reports in Minnesota.

However, even before the public conversation escalated online,

the FBI had surged personnel and investigative resources to Minnesota to dismantle large-scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs.

Fraud that steals from the taxpayers and robs vulnerable children will remain a top FBI priority in Minnesota and nationwide.

To date, he says, the FBI has dismantled the $250 million fraud screen that stole federal food aid

meant for vulnerable children during COVID. The investigation exposed sham vendors,

shell companies, large-scale money laundering tied to feed our future, a network that was

supposed to be used, at least, to feed children who are in need.

The FBI believes that this is just the very tip of the large iceberg in Minnesota.

He says they'll continue to follow the money and protect children.
