Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America show Midday Update for Thursday,

December 12th. President-elect Donald J. Trump just can't seem to stop winning, folks. It just

doesn't stop with this man. Earlier this morning, he rang the opening bell of the New York Stock

Exchange as he was confirmed Time Magazine's Person of the Year. Trump was met with cheers

and applause from the trading floor as well as cries of USA.

USA.

Trump was on Wall Street to mark the ceremonial start of the day trading in a gesture

first performed by fellow Republican President Ronald Reagan back in the mid-1980s.

Before he rang the opening bell at 930, Trump spoke to

the exchange and called it a tremendous honor. President Trump also speaking about his time

magazine person of the year saying, getting this honor for a second time, but he thinks he likes it

a little bit better this time. And I think we all understand why, after all this man has been put through

for the last nine years, as he now enters his final term as president. And at the end of this

turn, it'll probably be the end of politics for President Trump. So President Trump getting it

all in while he can. CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, you know that Marx's dam who gave the dams, the 2020 election,

he spent all that money trying to help Joe Biden. And then in 2016, spending all that money to save

Hillary Clinton. Well, in a surprise move, Mark Zuckerberg's meta has contributed $1 million

to President-elect Donald Trump's 2024

inaugural fund.

This, of course, marks a significant change in the relationship between the ultra-woke tech

giant and the incoming administration.

Huh, I wonder what Mark Zuckerberg is trying to do, is he trying to buy influence?
