Hello everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update for Monday, April 20th.

Happy Monday, folks. I hope you all had a great weekend. So it seems the Iranians just don't want to make a deal and want to continue the conflict in their country to standoff over the Strait of Harmuz.

Escalated once again over the weekend as Iran reversed its reopening of the critical waterway and fired on ships attempting

to pass retaliation after the United States pressed ahead with its blockade of Iranian ports.

The strait is closed until the U.S. blockade is lifted.

The IRGC said Saturday night that warning, no vessel should make any movement from its anchorage

in the Persian Gulf in the

Sea of Oman and approaching the Strait of Harmuz will be considered as a cooperation with its enemy,

that of course being the United States of America. Now also over the weekend the U.S. Navy fired upon an

Iran-flagged tanker in the Arabian Sea on Sunday, disabling its engines and then later

seizing the vessel to run officials condemn the Caesar as, quote, armed piracy and they're

vowing retaliation.

Now, peace talks with Iran were expected to begin in Pakistan tomorrow, but the recent reports

of Iranian state media have thrown the meetings into doubt.

Now, why is this all important and why is it all important right now?

Because the ceasefire ends tomorrow night.

President Trump says the bombs are about to start going off once that ceasefire expires.

Now, President Trump had said before that he was going to level Iran, and then they were

able to get an 11th hour seatfire. I don't think President Trump is going to be as kind this time around

as Iran doesn't seem to want to come to the table to talk any kind of peace. Now, the interesting part

about it all is that Iran had originally agreed, I believe, last week,

that they would turn over their enriched uranium to the United States.
