Let's flip it on to Microsoft, because this is the key name,

the first mega cap to report profit was

the focus strong fiscal second quarter EPS at $2.32 a share above

analyst expectations the other way of looking at it is that actually EPS did not drop as much from the same period a year ago as the street had been looking for.
