Summary

(00:00-25:30) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison discussing Dusty May’s Michigan Wolverines winning the NCAA Tournament over UConn last night. Jake gives his perspective to the IU fans that are upset over the fact that Mike Woodson was retained another season versus getting rid of him after three years and hiring May.

(25:30-37:18) – With the transfer portal open now for players to talk and commit to their next location, Jake had a thought about the unsustainability of programs that are relying on the portal t to build their rosters.

(37:18-45:11) – The first hour of Query & Company concludes with Jake Query explaining why the NCAA is expanding the NCAA Tournament to 76 teams. Jake’s logic doesn’t pertain to money.

(45:11-1:13:48) – ESPN’s Stephen Holder joins Query & Company and his conversation with Jake starts out with Jake asking if he should interview Peter Brady on the show next week. They eventually dive into the Colts by getting Holder’s thoughts on the Shaq Leonard & Eric Ebron comments from last week and acknowledge the thin margin of error that Chris Ballard has this draft with no extra second or third round picks unlike previous drafts without a first-round pick.

(1:13:48-1:23:07) – With the Indiana Pacers hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, Jake and Eddie gloss over the injury report for both teams and specify what injuries players are dealing with. They end up providing an anatomy lesson.

(1:23:07-1:30:10) – Jake and producer Eddie conclude the second hour of the show by discussing how cool it was for the One Shining Moment producers to include the High Point broadcasters in it.

(1:30:10-2:00:24) – Mike DeCourcy from the Sporting News, Big Ten Network, and FOX Sports joins Query & Company to evaluate the start of the tournament to the end with Michigan capturing the championship over UConn. Mike wants to make sure people are celebrating the fact that players are wanting to go to court to stay in college athletics for another season versus going pro, evaluates the decision for North Carolina to hire Michael Malone, and criticizes the NCAA for expanding the tournament.

(2:00:24-2:12:33) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query to answer a trivia question about the G League Affiliate for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jake also asks Scott about how the Pacers will handle the rest of this week from a player participation standpoint, the situation with the Pacers TV partner shutting down business, and the upcoming timeline of events for the WNBA.

(2:12:33-2:19:14) – Today’s show closes out with JMV joining Jake Query to preview his show!
