The little brown jug is staying home, which is the best news of the day.

That's not a trophy you want to lose.

Typically in seasons where Michigan's lost that of late,

the season kind of spirals out of control and lines up in a bad place.

But a win is a win, move to four and one.

There's a lot to talk about, especially that fourth quarter.

As we get into it, though, as I put producer Megan on standby behind the scenes we do have

someone with us who has won and touched the little brown jug before and we do have a photo

of that I believe we can pop that up here there it is Ryan van Bergen as a player hoisting the

jug just thoughts on that trophy. Among the ones that you guys play for,

what are your thoughts on the jug? And what are you feeling in this moment right here? I love the jug.

The rivalry between Michigan and Minnesota hasn't been entrenched with a lot of competitiveness

back and forth. That jug has all the scores from all the games on it. And Michigan's kind of

dominated that series, but it's a really cool story. I mean, if you really like college football,

go look at the history of why the brown jug exists and how we taught Minnesota to play football

and didn't trust their water source. I can't imagine that an entire team drank from that one water

jug. That's that baffles me. But to me, that's holding up a relic and amulet, if you will,

from the beginnings of college football.

So when you get the opportunity to hoist that particular trophy, at least me personally,

with the appreciation I have for the tradition, that was a really big moment.
