Summary

In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz offer their latest thoughts on Michigan football’s battle with the Big Ten, and preview the Wolverines road trip to take on No. 10 Penn State.

They open, as they have the previous two episodes, with commentary on the NCAA’s investigation into alleged improper scouting by the Wolverines. This time, they look at the battle Michigan has waged against the Big Ten over the league’s “premature” efforts to discipline the Wolverines before an NCAA investigation, notice of allegations or even a true look at the evidence. They discuss the latest week in media leaks, Michigan’s letters to the Big Ten, and how the league should have handled things differently from the start.

In the second half of the episode, they discuss the Wolverines’ first test this season, at Penn State. They look at how Michigan can crack the Nittany Lions’ highly ranked defense, some key players who could step up and other thoughts on the Wolverines’ offense. They, they turn attention to the other side of the ball, looking at keys for the Wolverines’ defense against Penn State’s conservative passing attack and underwhelming (so far) run game. They close with their final thoughts on the matchup and predictions for Saturday.
