Summary

In this episode, Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz offer their initial thoughts on Michigan’s surprise decision to not seek an injunction and accept Jim Harbaugh’s three-game suspension, and then preview the Wolverines’ road trip to take on Maryland as they seek win No. 11 on the year, and No. 1,000 in program history.

They open with their nearly live reaction to the news that the Big Ten and Michigan had reached a settlement, one that caused the Wolverines to withdraw from their previously scheduled Friday court hearing as they sought a temporary restraining order on the Big Ten’s three-game suspension of Jim Harbaugh.

In the second two-thirds of the episode, they discuss Michigan’s upcoming road trip to Maryland. They discuss keys and predictions for both the Wolverines’ offense and defense, Michigan’s pursuit of 1,000 wins, what the Wolverines can do beyond win to set themselves up for next week and make their score predictions for the game.

is now off, just literally five, ten minutes before we hit record on this. Michigan released a

statement that said this morning, the university, coach Harbaugh and the Big Ten resolved their

pending litigation. The conference agreed to close its investigation and the the university and Coach Harbaugh agreed to accept the three-game

suspension. Coach Harbaugh, with the university's support, decided to accept this sanction

to return focus to our student athletes and their performance on the field. The conference

has confirmed that it is not aware of any information suggesting

1:10.9

Coach Harbaugh's involvement in the allegations. The university continues to cooperate fully with

1:15.5

the NCAA's investigation. And the Big Ten also released a statement. It's pretty similar.

I guess point being, at one point it did seem like Michigan had at least through message board,

1:29.7

insiders, reporters,

1:34.9

had kind of seemed to imply that it was ready to fight and make this very messy with the Big Ten.

1:36.1

That evidently is no longer the case.

1:38.7

Now, I think there's a couple ways to look at this.

1:42.1

And Steve, I do want to get your thoughts on this, too.
