Summary

Zach Shaw and Steve Lorenz continue their position group preview series by looking at the edge room. During the episode, they look at the group's biggest strengths, question marks, position battles, X-factor players, stat to watch and their bold predictions for the group.

They open by looking at the upside and versatility of the room, which boasts four starter-caliber players. They then turn their attention to newcomer Josaiah Stewart, as well as other players a step or two away from stardom.

In the second half of the episode, they look at the position battles brewing, an X-factor player who could join the quartet, a stat they'll use to define the room and make predictions on who will lead the team in sacks.

That's where we can really dig in depth.

You know, these podcasts are fun, but just the general construct of, you know, a podcast.

0:33.0

We can't necessarily get into all the nitty-gritty stats and everything like that.

0:36.9

But regardless,

0:41.8

this format will stay the same as previous episodes. We'll look at a strength of the room,

0:46.3

the biggest question mark in our eyes. If there is a position battle, kind of what we're looking at in that position battle, Steve will give his X Factor player to watch. I'll give my stat

0:51.1

that I'm looking at. And then we'll close with our bold predictions for the room.

0:55.6

So Steve, with this edge room, the strength I wrote down is, I think this room has a lot of upside.

1:02.4

And what I mean by that is I think all four of the rotation edge players, Braden McGregor, Derek Moore, Jalen Harrell, and Josiah Stewart. I don't know,

1:12.7

maybe I'm crazy. Maybe this will, someone will throw this in my face in a couple of years.

1:16.3

I think all four of them can be top 100 NFL draft picks. I don't know that all four will,

1:22.4

but I do think all four can. So to me, I really like the upside of this of this group. I think at the field edge,

1:31.5

which, you know, think Roshan Gary, Aidan Hutchinson, Mike Morris, those kind of players,

1:36.9

you know, the bigger edge guys, I suppose. Braden McGregor, former Blue Chip recruit, really started

1:43.7

to come on strong last year and was actually better against the run than I think he got credit for.

1:48.4

I think a lot of people think of him as, you know, Aidan Hutchinson light.
