All right, folks, 27 to 14, Michigan gets it done on the road, beats Iowa for the first time

in a long time since 2005. Michigan sort of controlled the game from the dick go Sam Webb.

Iowa made a little comeback, and then that defense came strong and closed the deal there in the fourth quarter.

Let's get your initial thoughts from Mr. Sam Lab himself.

Yeah, man, I thought that, you know, Kinnick is the House of Horrors. Jim Harbaugh never won there.

He says for the top five teams go to die. I thought how you start the game in a game where the

opponent is clearly overmatch was vitally important. Set a tone out the gate, and Michigan did that to a T.

They came out right away, hit him with a duo run play.

That was the staple run play last week.

It was the run play that Blake Quorum had that long touchdown run on

in the Big Ten championship game that JJ McCarthy is running down the field, 60 yards to block on.

So you hit them with a play that you've been really, really successful with. You leaned on them.

A really great run, pass, mix, kept them off balance, left, right. We really saw Donovan Edwards

emphasized early on as well. And then the very last play that drive the reverse to to

Ronnie Bell I thought it was a terrific play call it was off counter action

which Iowa really really triggered hard on last year against Michigan in the

Big Ten championship game they run a counter a a reverse off the counter, completely caught Iowa

off guard. It was a terrific run call. Michigan didn't really capitalize on the other drives

in the first half like you want them to. They got field goals out of it. They missed a touchdown.

Another overthrow by JJ there. there but again not a lot of

mistakes he took the check down this week didn't get out of the pocket too

quickly I thought it was a sign of growth from JJ in that regard they come out
