I was at your old stomping grounds here recently.

Were you recruiting?

Were you trying to get us a big line?

I was interviewing. i went out there to

interview a big time lineman talked to his dad talked to raco spinler so uh we'll see that young

man set to make his decision coming up uh coming up august what is it august 8th is the date are you

are you optimistic?

Look, I think Michigan is out front.

I think Michigan is out front for Rocco.

I think they hold a, I'll call it a slight edge

because I think he really, really likes both staffs.

I think he really likes the tradition at both schools.

But I think the distinguishing characteristic, Tim,

and a guy that I know you know well,

I think the distinguishing characteristic is Ed Warner's player development.

His track record for the guys that he has put in the pros,

there is just no comparison between, you know,

what Michigan has in that department with the current coaching staff, with Ed Warner, on the

current coaching staff and Notre Dame's offensive line coach is just no comparison between the two when it comes to track record for player development.

So in a close race, I think that's what's going to be the deciding factor.
