So thank you, Dave. You've helped fight inflation. All right, let's get started. There's a lot going on in the world,

as I say, the stupidity never stops even when you just want it to. The big economic news today is that

the economy has shrunk. Now, you would have thought that we were just on the verge of human cannibalism

and a run-on canned goods in the grocery store with the amount of press coverage that the economy contracting 0.3% brought about.

That was it.

Now, it's nothing to sniff out, and it's certainly less than growth.

You want growth.

But the idea that this is indicative of something, or foreshadowing, as they say, it's foreshadowing of a possible recession.

The national public radio headline is, the U.S. economy shrinks as Trump's tariffs spark recession fears.

I really find it amazing the degree of certainty with which so many economists speak.

And yet, they're about as accurate as a weatherman. They truly are. If you look at it,

how many times have you heard the phrase? It's exactly as economists predicted. Probably not very

often. I don't think I've ever heard it. You hear it outpacing economists predictions or not quite
