1:17.0 | But can you just start off by telling listeners, was there a time in your childhood when you knew you were kind of different and intuitive psychic or was it always just a part of you? |
1:29.0 | I came out of the box weird, but I'm also fortunate to be born into a family where that was not extraordinary and it wasn't shamed. |
1:38.0 | You know, half the family is Irish American. And so there's a long tradition there of like second sight and then fairy beliefs and things that were passed along. |
1:49.0 | My grandfather, literal grandfather's side are Akkadian French. |
1:54.0 | And although I did not connect to that side of the family until I was in my 20s, I found that there's a heritage there as well. |
2:01.0 | So the folks who raised me was my violinist artist hippie mom who was protesting the Vietnam War at Kent State, which is where I was conceived. |
2:12.0 | I was very much the product of the wild child stuff, her mother. |
2:16.0 | My grandmother was psychic, had visions that came true, dreams that came true, a lot of stuff. |
2:22.0 | She had some mixed feelings about that, but she also instilled me with both a curiosity to explore it and a need to objectively measure it. |
