glad to be here well we're so glad to have you your name of course is uh is a historic name in hollywood

and is synonymous with the word makeup and your autobi autobiography is called Makeup Man, which is appropriate.

And though the audience can't see you, you do have a full drag paint going on right now.

And may I say, you've never looked lovelier.

And for those who don't know, for those who are not in the know, your grandfather,

George Westmore came to Hollywood in the early days and made the name for himself when it was still possible to kind of a pioneer a field.

It's what he was.

You know, he left England.

I think it was in 1906 and came here by himself.

And then a year later, Ida, my grandmother and the four older sons, they all came then.

And they worked in, well, the sons as they grew up, were trained in the hairdressing

business.
