But first, I've got exciting news because it's Oscar Week, and that means that this is the last week where we'll be talking about the Oscars for the foreseeable future.

I love the Oscars. They're great. God bless cinema,

but it's mid-March and it's really time to move on. I profiled Oscar host Conan O'Brien

for this week's issue of T.HR, so please check that out because he's a great interview and just a

really smart guy. His first time hosting the show last year was kind of a hit, which says a lot

because this is a thankless job and the reviews are often just merciless. So it was pretty

fascinating spending time with someone in the lead-up to a gig like that. At one point, I saw

I'm workshopping his monologue at a surprise set at Largo, a comedy club in LA, and then sort of evaluate how

everything played with the writers who were there afterwards. It was very cool. I have no idea

how much of that material will make it to the telecast, but what I saw of it was very funny.

But if this year's Oscars aren't entertaining and your favorite movie gets completely shut out,

at least you can maybe make money.
