Summary
Dr. Michael Rectenwald discusses how Woke Capitalism and the Digital Gulag or Google Archipelago are coalescing into “corporate-socialism” or what he calls Google Marxism. Its aim is a “one-world monopoly of government” whose expression is most clearly seen today in what is known as “The Great Reset.” China’s technocracy is the model for the whole world and Vaccine Passports are how the “Social Credit Score” system will be rolled out in the West, which is currently underway. Businesses and corporations will also have a Social Credit Score known as the ESG metric, which will evaluate whether companies are adhering to the “Green Agenda” and add numerous regulations and taxes, which ultimately will favor the global monopolies and serve to bankrupt smaller enterprises. Dr. Rectenwald warns us not to give up and to create networks of resistance, islands of freedom, and to develop economic means of independence.

| 0:16.5 | Thanks for coming on the podcast. How is life now that you have been liberated from academia? |
| 0:21.6 | It's actually excellent. I'm like, first of all, I don't have to grade papers and I do what I want. |
| 0:28.0 | I write what I want. And I'm actually making over twice as much money. Yeah, I saw you tweet that |
| 0:35.0 | recently, which is great, which is hilarious. I don't want to rehash the story of your background because I think some will be familiar with it. And those who aren't, they can view some of your previous interviews where you go into more detail. I'll include links in the description. Essentially, you were a leftist or Marxist and only a few years ago completely left the left |
| 0:56.0 | and became libertarian. I'm not, you know, I don't like the categories myself so much. I'm not a |
| 1:01.7 | libertarian, but there are many principles of libertarianism and the Austrian school that I very |
| 1:06.4 | much align with. I have my Mises coffee cup here. And as you mentioned, you know, you were recently |
| 1:14.1 | run out of NYU by the leftist woke cancel culture as others have been, such as Mark |
| 1:19.1 | Crispin Miller. But, you know, for the last few years and decades, we've been seeing these |
| 1:25.2 | separate threads kind of forming, you know, |
| 1:27.9 | culturally, that of the progressive authoritarian left visible as wokeism. Economically, |
| 1:34.1 | the formation of the digital Gulag or Google Arteplago, as you call it in your book, |
| 1:38.6 | which is now censoring, deplatforming, unpersoning, nonconformists. There's also, you know, climate changeism, which I call, |
| 1:47.1 | which is being melded with COVID-1984, in which I see as two sides of the same coin, kind of this |
| 1:53.3 | religious component, this religious component of this bio-fascist technocracy, which is, I think, |
| 1:59.5 | basically eugenics in disguise. |
| 2:02.1 | Others like Italian philosopher, Giorgio Agamben, have written on how this biopolitics |
| 2:06.3 | has literally become kind of like a new religion replete with its own climate and COVID rituals |
| 2:11.4 | and sacraments. |
