Summary

We have a treat for you guys this week! Past guest Michael Perry just broke an Alabama state record with a MASSIVE 195" public land monster buck, so we got him on to go over the whole story! We discuss the several years of history he had with this deer, how finding annual patterns played a huge role in his success, how he used cameras, terrain and does to his advantage and more! We also talk with Michael and Jamie Mccay, another past guest and consistent big buck slayer, on their best tips for hunting the rut and get into some very interesting tidbits of info. Michael and Jamie are some great guys and fantastic role models for the hunting community. We want to thank Michael for letting us be the first to get his story out and we are humbled by the opportunity! If there's anything I've learned from a lot of these guests that we've had on in the past,

0:12.9

it's you got to make it count and you got to be efficient.

0:22.7

Basically the way it works, you drop a pin and you say I want to add a wind direction for this pin.

0:27.3

To hunt this, I need a Southwest, South or Southeast wind.

0:31.7

So I add that to that pin and it automatically shows up as a little icon above that pin

0:36.3

that tells me the wind direction and it shows up either green, red or orange.

0:40.6

Obviously, green is good, orange is okay, red is bad.

0:43.9

So what this means is me having an eight month old at home.

0:46.5

If I get, you know, three hours during the week, maybe after work or something to go get a quick hunt in,

0:51.4

I can open my on X and instantly see which stands have a good wind form right now.

0:56.2

So that means I can grab my stuff and go.

0:58.4

I don't have to open four different apps to see the wind direction.

1:01.3

I don't have to do any of that.

1:02.2

I can immediately see it on on X and I've already done all my planning beforehand.

1:06.6

So I can be efficient and as soon as I say, okay,

1:08.8

looks like I got three or four hours to get out there real quick.

1:11.2

Boom, I'm gone and I'm going straight to that stand.

1:13.6

I'm not wasting any time.
