I'd interviewed Michael Palin a few months prior to this encounter at the Slapstick Festival in Bristol,

live on stage, front of an audience. And we had a very, very enjoyable evening. But I came away from it

thinking, ah, but I didn't ask him about this. I didn't ask him about that. So I was keen to talk again.

If you're somewhat of my vintage, then Michael Palin is someone who's been round forever,

from Monty Python to ripping yarns, Fish Coral Wanda, and then his travel shows.

And then most recently, for me, I would say the Armando Ionucci film, The Death of Starry, which is fantastic.

So there's so much to talk about.

It was just a delight to see him again.

He's the sort of person who, when you see him, you want to smile.

We cover a whole range of things.

We talk about Python, of course. Something I wanted to talk about the first time and didn't,

but we do hear is his experiences on a Saturday night live in America, and he had some lovely stories to tell about that. Also, the Python reunion show at the O2 and the he recently

of course you may or may not know lost his wife of many years and we talk a little bit about that

and how that has affected his life and his plans for going forward. A real delight to talk to this man. So do enjoy

Bryden and Michael Palin. Yeah, well, we've been we've been scurrying to get ready,

very excited.
