I'm about ready to run off the golf course. So, Who is Mike McCarton in the golf world?

Well, I am a golf course architect.

I started working for Tom Doak in 2005 at Bally Neal.

This was something that I kind of worked up to over time.

I went to school for landscape architecture.

That was actually after going to school for economics.

I was an economics major.

And I had been kind of obsessed with golf architecture since I was a little kid and thought there was no future in it for whatever reason and after I got out of school, I was bored and working for some place that I just didn't have any interest in.

And I thought, well, I should write Tom Doak.
