And a lot of times America is very quick to embrace a Michael Jordan or an Oprah Winfrey or a Barack Obama

so long as you don't get too controversial around broader issues of social justice.

That was former president Barack Obama on last night's episode of The Last Dance,

addressing the challenge that Michael Jordan faced in navigating both his fame and the

expectations that he delved into issues of race and politics.

It's an area where Jordan has been subject to intense criticism and one where his approach

has evolved in recent years. Today, the undefeated Jesse Washington joins us to discuss

Jordan's activism or lack thereof and his true impact off the court.

in America and a journalist and a sports fan. It was something that we talked about.

And it was something that we debated in the barbershop. It was something that we talked about
