99. That's the nothing personal word of the day. It's the nothing personal number of the

day. 99 is Wayne Gretzky's number. Wayne Gretzky was in the news this weekend. Somehow

saying, I think the NHL will be playing this summer. It wasn't based on anything other

than desire, hope, prayer. I actually hope it does happen. I want to see sports back safely.

Wayne Gretzky, the goat, right? Is there any is there any question that when you're thinking

about some of the greatest players in each sport? We go hockey. It's Gretzky. People say

Lemieux, maybe Sydney, Crosby, maybe Bobby or maybe Gordy Howe. No, it's Wayne Gretzky.

Period. Hard stop. It was 21 years ago this past Saturday. April 18, 1999 was Wayne Gretzky's

last game. That is 21 years ago. He has last game at the garden. He actually finished his

career. You know, this has a New York Ranger. I was lucky enough to be at that game. And

I was sort of a hockey fan growing up, much bigger Nick fan, but also a Ranger fan.

My order was Nick's, Nick's, Nick's, then Giants, New York Giants, then Yankees, then Rangers.

But I loved going to hockey games. Didn't much like watching them on TV. I got invited to

that game by a friend of mine, a really good friend of mine, best friend. And we knew

that we were watching history. And when you get a chance to see the greatest of all time,

if you get a chance to see Tom Brady, you go see Tom Brady. When you get a chance to see

Wayne Gretzky, you see Wayne Gretzky. It was a love fest that final game. I remember buying

a t-shirt. And I was not, I was not yet in baseball. I started in baseball in December

of 1999. But in April of 1999, I was at Morgan Stanley. And I just remember thinking to myself,

how am I ever going to match the emotion of a game where the outcome didn't matter. The

Penguin's beat the Rangers in overtime that day, where you just say to yourself, that man

will never lace up skates in a game that counts again. And when you're talking about the
