His name was Michael Jackson, and he was nicknamed the King of Pop by his adoring fans and the entire music industry because of his effortless ability to sing, perform, and entertain crowds from all across the world.

He did have a little bit of a head start on other musicians.

Before he was the King of Pop, he grew up performing with his talented family.

Michael was born in Indiana in 1958 to a large musical family.

Altogether he had eight brothers and sisters. Needless to say, this helped give him a lot of practice learning how to compete for the spotlight.
