Summary
There is a lot of stress, fear, anxiety, overwhelm in our world right now. We have no idea what the future will look like, and that can be hard for us to function, especially when we are all told to stay inside our homes, which can make things even more intense.
I knew there was only one expert I wanted to bring on the show to talk us through, help us understand what we can do right now to make things feel a little more under our control. Dr Michael Gervais is extremely busy right now, with his expertise and wisdom being requested all over the world, but he was kind enough to join me in a 20 minute conversation to reassure the Running For Real community.
The episode last week with Dr Emily Stoneman on COVID19 was helpful for many, but what you seemed to enjoy just as much, was the second half of the episode where I talked about how to handle cancelled races. I would love to hear if you want to hear more of these episodes over the coming months. They are outside my nature (I love to record ahead of time), but if it is good for the community, I am happy to get outside my comfort zone.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and don't feel you have anyone to talk to, many of my psychologist and mental health professionals have offered to connect with Running For Real listeners FOR FREE at this time. Enter your email here and I will get one of them to reach out to you. Please do not suffer in silence. I see you, and I am here for you.
