There was a piece that was out earlier this year by Alex Morris of Rolling Stone,

who noted the headline was Michael Fanon has a lot to say about the January 6 pardons including his own and it says it goes on and it talks about how you didn't ask for a pardon. You don't want a pardon.

Talk a little bit about why you feel that way,

why you felt that way at the time.

And what do you think is happening?

What does it mean when these things started coming out that, you know,

Trump was looking to pardon all these people and do all this stuff.

Talk a little bit about your thoughts there.

Well, first, like, with regards to the pardon for me, I mean, I'm not a,

listen, I'm a high school dropout. But I'm not a legal scholar.

Right.

I'm not a constitutional scholar.

But I do know the legal system from a layman's perspective or a police officer's perspective.

And I know that our justice system is based on precedent.

And I know that there's no precedent for giving a preemptive pardon.

And so, you know, while I understand why President Biden provided me and some others with those pardons because he felt we may be, you know, targeted by the Trump administration,
