Well I grew up in Melbourne which is the best city to play golf in Australia,

as well the sand belt courses, but I grew up on the other side of the city from the sand belt really.

My parents bought a house at the back of a place called Easton.

They're in the midst of cutting ropes through it and building houses on it. But I jumped the fence and started

to carry and then I just started to play and you know I got kind of went through the system there I suppose playing school by golf and junior golf and amateur golf and

Peter Thompson was from here so I spent a lot of time watching him play and my

interest in design I suppose was you know I grew up watching golf and playing golf a bit at Royal Melbourne and Kex Nathan, Metropolitan
