Hello again, everybody, and welcome in to another edition of The Radio Free Hillsdale Hour.

On this episode, we'll talk with Michael Anton, lecturer in politics and research fellow at

Hillsdale College, and also author of the new book, The Stakes, The 2020 Election,

and the Point of No Return.

Ben Whalen from Hillsdale's English Department on the Sun also rises. And Hillsdale history professor Brad Berzer tells us about

a side job as a member of a progressive rock band. We're joined now by Michael Anton. He's a lecturer

and research fellow at Hillsdale College, also a former national security official in the Trump administration, a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute, and author of the brand new book, The Stakes, America at the point of no return. Michael, thank you so much for joining us.

Thank you. This is, of course, a book about 2020 and what's at stake in this election, but reading it,

it is so much more than that.

It is really an overview of where we are as a nation and why, not just why 2020 is important,

Michael, but why 2024 and 28 in virtually every election, as you argue,

is just as important in the future. Yes, I think that what the Democratic left wants is,

obviously they want power, but they want power for very specific ends, which is to implement

their entire agenda without

opposition and without having to make any kind of compromise.

I mean, yeah, okay, they'll say, well, we want to take power through an election, and

that's legitimate.

Well, how legitimate are elections when the Democratic strategy for the last 50 years has

been to demographic, import voters to demographically tip areas blue

uh... permanently so that red vote simply don't matter anymore they've been
