I'm here to work on my book folks, work on my book, have some uninterrupted, except for the Michael and us podcast, uninterrupted time.

Yeah, so where is Port Franks or whatever you just said?

Yeah, it's about an hour west of London, Ontario.

And yeah, not to talk too much about my book project, but as you know Luke, it's something I've been sort of

nudeling away on in some form or another for like six years honestly like an inexcusably long amount of time and it would never be finished if I didn't suddenly have a deadline imposed so over over the past like couple of months I've just

been going over all this old writing that I did in like 2019 basically thinking, oh fuck, this whole

thing's got to be rewritten. You know, it's like getting an old house and realizing, oh shit, none of the plumbing works.

But it's been an exciting experience. Like I have to hand it in at the end of the summer and I sort of feel like, okay, this is officially doable.

The plumbing is fixed, the electrical sockets are working, you know, the holes in the roof have been repaired you know we're well on our way to to get rid of the house metaphor for a second

The argument can be sustained now for like 45,000 words and that's good.

And I assume it's implicit in that that the book is itself 45,000 words.

You don't owe a hundred thousand word manuscript and are like patting yourself on the back that well the argument can be sustained for a little less than half of that and folks will take it.
